Since graduation in 2012 from Loughborough University with BSc (Hons) Psychology with Ergonomics, I lived and worked in Australia and New Zealand doing a truly diverse range of things, including working in the Ergonomics team at Toyota Manufacturing Corporation Australia.
I joined Greenstreet Berman in July 2014 as a Junior Consultant, and commenced an MSc in Occupational Psychology with the University of Leicester in October 2014.
What do you do at Greenstreet Berman Ltd?
Presently I am supporting Human Factors input into safety case development within the nuclear sector. Core activities for this work include task analysis, error identification, analysis and quantification. This involves assessing physical systems but also human competence, training and how both are managed and controlled, as well as suitability of engineered system safeguards.
What are your professional interests?
I am motivated by utilising Occupational Psychology in a Human Factors context. I feel including psychological principles in a multi-dimensional approach to problems results in robust and effective solutions. As a consultant I would aim to enable organisations to implement changes, and adapt culture from within thereby improving overall performance.
What do you do in your spare time?
As a rule, you can normally find me watching Rugby Union from somewhere in the world. Rugby aside, my time is well spent keeping fit, exploring new places (even better when cycling) and snowboarding. When the sun goes down, I love reading anything by John Grisham.
Tell us something we might not know about you?
At least once a year I will watch all 7 seasons of The West Wing from start to finish. Aaron Sorkin is a champion of script writing.
