Food safety culture has been given greater attention recently due to increased interest in the role of business attitudes in achieving compliance and avoiding food poisoning. The work, commissioned by the UK’s Food Standards Agency, developed a tool for use in identifying aspects of good/poor safety cultures in food businesses, for use with all sizes of businesses, and linking this to advice on how to improve food safety culture in food businesses. This is the first ever food safety culture assessment tool.
